ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TO RESUME ABIDJAN – NEW YORK DIRECT FLIGHTS

ADDIS ABABA - Africa’s largest airline, Ethiopian Airlines is set to resume direct flights between Abidjan and New York John Fredrick Kennedy airport on 29th May 2023 which had been suspended in 2019 due the Covid 19 pandemic.

The fourfold journey between the two locations with take place weekly thus as per the time schedule below; A

The airlines’ CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew saidWe are excited to bring back our direct flight between Abidjan and New York. We have long been offering flights with the best connectivity between the US and Africa. The resumption of our Abidjan-New York flight brings back the flexibility that our passengers love. We have been increasing frequencies and adding new destinations in Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Asia in the past couple of months and we are delighted that the Abidjan-New York route is coming again.

Ethiopian Airlines is set to commence a new route to Atlanta, USA on 16th May, 2023. This will make it the airlines’ 6th destination to USA as it already has passenger services to New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington DC and cargo services to Miami.

The airline currently operates to over 130 international passenger and cargo destinations from its main hub Addis Ababa – Ethiopia. The Ethiopian flag carrier currently is operating a fleet of 141 mixed fleet aircraft and to meet future growth and improved services, the airline has a standing order of 37 aircraft.
