KENYA AIRWAYS SIGNS INTERLINE AGREEMENT WITH CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES.

NAIROBI – Kenya Airways PLC (KQ) and China Southern Airlines (CZ) renewed their interline agreement following the return of international travel to and from China. The agreement will assist in restoring connectivity for both airlines’ passengers to points on the respective carriers’ networks via Nairobi, Guangzhou and Shanghai using a single ticket and one baggage policy.

The reciprocal agreement grants Kenya airways connectivity rights to China’s domestic destinations that are served by China Southern Airlines and these include; Shanghai, Chongqing, Changsha, Chengdu, Dalian, Fuzhou, Hefei, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Kunming, Guiyang, Ningbo, Nanjing, Nanning, Shenyang, Shantou, Sanya, Qingdao, Jinan, Tianjin among others.

The The interline agreement will also enhance Kenya Airways Asian and Pacific destinations operated by China Southern which include Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang, Seoul, Singapore Tokyo, Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne. On the other hand, China Southern Airline’s passengers will also benefit from access to Kenya Airways network seamless connections to cities beyond Nairobi to African destinations such as Dar es salaam, Entebbe, Kigali, Kinshasa, Bujumbura, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Douala, Mauritius, and other points that are fully operated by Kenya Airways.

The just signed interline agreement is of benefit to both Kenya Airways and China Southern Airlines whose network connectivity are immensely going to grow and improve.
